To host an event at Le Colonial is to step into another time & another place… Le Colonial vividly recaptures the beauty, romance and spirit of French-Colonial Southeast Asia in the 1920s and 1930s. Le Colonial is situated in the heart of Chicago’s esteemed Gold Coast in a charming two story vintage rowhouse.

The chef’s preparations are very delicate yet distinctively vivid in flavor. Traditionally, dishes are served family style and shared among guests. Some preparations must be constructed at the table by rolling ingredients in lettuce leaves or fresh mint, and eaten by hand.

All of your guests will share and sample a variety of appetizers and salads, which will create the exciting and plentiful first course.

The entrée course may include filet mignon, sea bass, duck, chicken,
and vegetable dishes, and will allow your guests to taste several Le Colonial entrée specialties.

A side vegetable dish and sorbet dessert are included in all group menus.
Group events are held on the 2nd floor at long or round tables, as needed.
THE LOUNGE

The second floor lounge is a semi-private event space, with rattan sofas, oriental rugs, vintage Vietnamese photos in black and white print, potted palm plants with striking green leaves, and antique furnishings, all which  provide a unique and comfortable setting for your next event. Lounge  music and votive candles set the stage for your event.

 

Available for private group lunch and dinner.
Seated dinner up to 52 guests.
Cocktail party up to 75 guests.

 

THE PRIVATE TERRACE

The second floor terrace offers al fresco dining in summer & is enclosed by French glass doors & heated in the cooler months. Overlooking the infamous Rush Street above the sidewalk café; ceiling fans, exposed brick, and giant palms, jazz music and votive candles create an elegant backdrop for your next event.

 

Available for private group lunch & group dinner.
Seated dinner up to 22 guests.
Cocktail party up to 25 guests.

SECOND FLOOR BUYOUT
When buying out the lounge and terrace areas together, you will create a totally private event for your guests. Guests may utilize the terrace as well as the bar  for the cocktail hour, and enjoy the quaint setting of the lounge and bar, or the bustle of Rush Street from the second level.
