Professionals Can Get on Their Soapbox at This Week’s ITME/Motivation Show

Chicago, IL – September 28, 2009 hinton+grusich (h+g), a leading national sales organization that represents upscale meeting hotels, destinations and hospitality suppliers, is putting a face and voice to the meetings, incentive and travel industry during this week’s IT&ME/Motivation Show at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. Designed to support the US Travel Industry Association’s organized “Meetings Mean Business” initiative, the firm will be offering the chance for trade show attendees to share their thoughts through a brief video interview relative to recovery in the meetings and travel business. The video interviews will be held from 10:00am to 5:00pm in the hinton+grusich exhibit booth #2236 on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 29 and 30. A video camera in the booth will literally be arranged to feature the interviewee on a platform…a pink “recovery soapbox.” The interview will be short and simple, with only one question: “What do you think will help the meetings industry recover?”
The final edition of the video will be edited to less than five minutes in length to represent the meetings industry’s many faces with one voice. The video will be distributed to Roger Dow, who is the reigning CEO of US Travel Association, other industry organizations, media outlets and government officials. The objective of the video is to serve as a vehicle to help educate viewers through sharing first-hand, unscripted statements from real-life professionals.
Kevin Hinton, principal of h+g stated, “Our firm has been actively involved in educating the meetings and business community on the value of face-to-face meetings in business since the initial media storm following the AIG conference early in the year.” He continued,”This week’s Motivation Show offers a great forum for us to capture the thoughts and opinions of meeting professionals to share with key media, association executives and politicians who influence policies and public opinion that effect the hospitality and travel industry, and beyond.” [Photo: Kevin Hinton, principal, hinton+grusich]
